Hike on Mt. Bachelor

What a great day to be on the mountain! This hike up the mountain was hot but still fun and the great group can all officially say that they have now summited a mountain!

This particular trip started early, around 7, so we got a peak of the sunrise. We started from the base lot and trekked up into the trees from there. This part was nice, cool, and shaded since it was still morning and we were in the trees. Once you get out of the tree section there comes the rock obstacle course. This was the hottest section, right out in the open. The openness gave use great views of the volcanic rock around us as well as the surrounding landscape. However, none of these views was anywhere near as good as the view at the summit!

After taking a break at the top we quickly made our way back down the mountain to fill our bellies with food from the lodge. The day was finished by early afternoon with tired smiles all around1
